Winter Heritage Walk – Bengaluru

There is so much character to this city known as Bangalore or Bengaluru. Known as the Silicon Valley of India as well as the pub capital of the nation, you work hard and party harder in this super city!

Bangalore houses the best of the best when it comes to educational as well as medical institutions as well as various aerospace and defence organizations.

All this and I haven’t even begun on the history of Bangalore, which is layered and complex in itself!! This city with multitude of dimensions is a joy to explore.

Here are some walks that you ought to undertake in Bangalore-

The old city walk

It is said that the city of Bangalore started off within the premises of a fort build by Kempe Gowda. Explore that old city and the tiny narrow alleys and lanes which give you a glimpse of typical and traditional South Indian lifestyle.

The Victorian Bangalore Walk

Explore the anglicized version of Bangalore. From the Military Cantonment to M.G. Road. Check out all the old bungalows at Richards Town and explore old cathedrals and churches such as the Holy Trinity Church and St, Johns Church.

Nature Trail

Bangalore is known for its greenery and foliage. It would be a shame not to explore and appreciate the flora of this city. Lalbaugh and Cubbon Park are the places to walk around and explore the various trees and flowers that bloom and blossom here.

Food Trail

You cannot feel the vibe of the city till you haven’t tasted its offerings. Try the Biryani at Frazers Town and the traditional South Indian food at Basavangudi. The Bakeries at Johnsons Market are worth a visit, also dedicate an evening to Pub hopping around town, you wont regret it…if you remember anything the next day though!!

Market Walk

Walk, shop, eat and repeat. From Commercial Street to City Market which at some point in history was a battlefield, you can buy to your hearts content in these places. Also explore Russel Market which used to be the memsahibs market for all rare and exotic food items.

With so much of exploring under your belt, you need a sturdy bag to accompany you on these trails.  How about a tote that holds everything and much more!!

Hello this is kinda of off topic but I was
wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so
I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help
    would be greatly appreciated!
