You own a beauty and you know that! Your motorcycle is your first love, isn’t it? Well then you know that one day the road is going to tempt you and beckon you to take off, explore the wilderness, just go on and on without a clue about the destination or maybe the thrill is in knowing what the destination holds, either way…
The joy of riding has a way of tempting the rider to explore the unexplored. So to ensure that nothing essential gets left behind.
Your clothes, food and tent are essential of course. But there are some more items that you must not forget! Here are some 5 essential things that according to me are a must have when you head out with your motorcycle into the yonder.
Carry a functional bag pack which will be all weather as well as easy to carry. It should be rugged as well as spacious. Also ensure that you have taken saddle bags as well as tank bags to stash the rest of the stuff that you will need.
The Trooper bag by RV is a great option for the outdoors! Checks all the boxes for a perfect camping trip!
Ofcourse. Cannot leave home without it. Part and parcel of being a motorcyclist. You don’t want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere with a broken bike. Loving your ride comes with the corollary of becoming a mechanic too! You should always stash a small tool kit on you, whether it’s a long ride or a short one.
Bluetooth headset and ear plugs
You can’t receive a phone call on your mobile phone while riding. Ideally I would leave behind all any means by which I could be contacted, but being a family man I cannot afford going MIA. So I recommend a Bluetooth headset as a must in case you are on the road and need to receive that important call.
It also is of big help when you are using a GPS navigation system and following instructions. While biking you definitely need ear plugs, with or without the helmet (I always recommend with!) your ears can get exhausted with all the noise. It can be so dangerous that in the long term your hearing could be affected, so do not forget to carry them
This is such a simple thing, yet a lot of people forget it. You for sure won’t have electric supply on the road or while camping. What do you do then? You need to charge the phone, the Bluetooth set and if you are using your GPS navigation along with clicking mobile pictures on the way, you are going to run out of battery soon enough. I recommend carrying not one but two powerful backups if possible.
For sure carry enough cash. You are going back of beyond. Don’t expect your cards or electronic wallet to be functional there. To pick up petrol, or even stock up on basics from the villages you come across, you shall have to transact in cash.
What are your SOS essentials on a camping trip? Let me know so that I can put it on my list too!!
