Again another weekend dawns on us and we wonder what to do this time around. For me you all know it’s a simple solution, take my motorcycle and head out to the nearest unexplored spot.
The last really magical place that I visited was Lavasa. A lot had been spoken and written about this place and I was curious to go check it out myself. Was not disappointed at all!
I highly recommend that if you guys get the time over any weekend, give it a visit and enjoy the beauty of Lavasa!
Lavasa is a planned hill station that has been developed on the Western Ghats, on the banks of the Baji Pasalkar Reservoir behind the Varasgaon Dam.
It is nestled in the Sahyadri range and is about 60 Km from Pune, in the Pune District itself and about 180 Km from Mumbai.
Since it is situated in the Mose Valley amongst seven hills, it is a great place for adventure junkies to for trekking, hiking, and mountain climbing purposes.
Rock climbing looks like battlefield? Let your bag be your statement of courage.
The city has been modeled on the Italian city of Portofino and covers an expanse of 25000 acres. With home to world class hotels, malls, and educational institutions, it is looking to attract more and more residents as well as visitors.
On the way to Lavasa, you cross many beautiful waterfalls and spots which make the journey more enriching. So keep some time on hand when you set out since you are going to make many a pit stops.
Monsoons are definitely the best time to visit this amazing place, the beauty of the place itself coupled with the greenery all over and the mist and fog transports you to a magical place.
The water activities that have started here are a craze amongst the visitors and the younger crowd.
