There are a lot of books and that explore the brother sister relationship. Since childhood you have fought, shared secrets, snitched on each other, but at the end of the day, you know that there is that one person, who no matter what, will have your back. There have been quite a few such relationships that form the backbone of many stories, novels, and fairy tales and we have grown up with these stories embedded in our subconscious.
As children whenever we thought of going on an adventure, our first partner in crime and go to companion would be our sibling. Someone we could plan and scheme with and even if we did not get to undertake that adventure we at least enacted it and made elaborate plans about it!

Julian, Dick, Georgina, and Anne – The Famous Five by Enid Blyton
Literally, the first novels that most kids who grew up in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s read. In fact, these gems are still treasured and passed on to children of this generation. These four siblings along with their dog would get together every summer vacation when they would get off from boarding school and have the most wonderful adventures together. The description of the English countryside and the most delectable picnics that they would have out in the fields would fuel our imagination and make you want to be a part of the Famous Five!

The Weasley Siblings – Harry Potter Series by J.K.Rowling
William, Charles, Percy, Fred, Ron and Ginny, the red haired Weasley siblings are quite important in the Harry Potter Series. Ron is Harry’s best friend and is with him through all his trials, tribulations and adventures. Ginny who is the youngest of the siblings and the only girl in the family is a headstrong and level headed girl who goes onto become Harry’s love interest and later his wife. The dynamics between Ron and Ginny is very endearing and he is as protective as any elder brother should be. His reactions to Harry and Ginny dating are very predictable and typical of a protective elder sibling. Any fan of this series will tell you that the book wouldn’t be half of what it is if there were no Weasleys in it!
