We managed a quick getaway to The Andaman and Nicobar Islands recently. If there were a more romantic place in India! This place exudes magic, perfect for sea lovers and bonus if you love sea sports!
This place has stunning beaches, amazingly beautiful coral reefs, such rich flora and fauna, I mean their rainforest is so dense and lush and not to forget India’s only active Volcano!
You can go snorkelling, scuba diving, jet skiing or even take a glass boat ride. If none of that appeal to you, just relax on the beach and watch the sunset, so serene and calm. For most of the holiday that is just what I did!!
Do you love my luggage?!? So do I!! Look up our whole range of luggage at The Bag Talk
I’ll let you on a little secret, this trip was my birthday gift… J my time to get away from it all and pampered insanely, and I did! To get there was a little tedious with the connecting flights and all, but once in Port Blair, the place just made me forget the world I had left behind and the next few days were the most happening ones!! The weather was a bit hot and sticky, but that just did not seem to matter to me.
Here I am ready to conquer Port Blair with all my ammunition in my super snazzy bag pack! It’s the Kivalina Bag pack from my signature line of collection, get the same at –
We tried our hand at scuba diving and that was such a fantastic experience! Its silly to goto the Andaman’s and not scuba dive. You have to experience the underwater beauty that there is. The scenery is truly out of the world. Only one fourth of Anadamans islands are inhabited. The rest are untouched and raw, that is where the beauty lies, since the underwater flora and fauna flourishes there the most.
If you are not adventurous enough for scuba diving, then try snorkelling. It is another way to explore the underwater and view the beautiful marine life of the Bay of Bengal. You can see trillions of fishes and plant varieties when you snorkel and the water is so clear that it is unbelievable.
I must also add that the food in Andamans in a plus! From piping hot idlis in the morning to fresh sea food at the shack in the afternoon, I certainly had my fill. Since its birthday month I am allowed to forgo the diet a bit am I not??
To ease off all the excitement, on the last day we took a dolphin cruise. It was such a breath-taking experience, to feel the cool sea wind on our face and watch friendly dolphins passing us by. We also managed to pack in some island hopping! Phew it was such a whirlwind trip!! I am going to miss this place for sure, and will plan a second trip very soon. There is so much to do that we could not fit it all in at one go. Andamans…sayonara!!
We arrived at the airport just in the nick of time! Thankfully our luggage was so compact that it did not get in the way of our rush!
