Leather is one of the classiest materials to own a bag in, timeless and elegant all the way!
What if you owned a single leather bag that looked like a new one every day…a bag that had the properties of a chameleon literally, a new shade a day! Confused? Well don’t be!
There is a special kind of leather which does just that, how you ask…lets find out!
Naturally processed, vegetable tanned leather bags are rare and with exclusive properties.
Vegetable tanning is a natural method of tanning that is only done on 10% of the leather products available since it is time consuming and only skilled craftsmen can do it.
Tree barks, roots and flower pods lend their colour to the leather and it may take up to 40 days to produce the desired results. There is no chemical treatment or dye that is used.
Even though it requires immense patience, the results are environment friendly and each piece of leather that comes out is different and exclusive.
The leather produced by this process comes out with warm rich natural looking colours and the feel is soft which intensifies on using.

Coming to the colour of the bags – the uniqueness of vegetable tanning is that the leather changes colour over a period of time. So you might buy a bag which is tan in colour, but over time, reacting with the environment, the bag will change its shade towards a darker hue slowly and by the end of six months you will have a bag that is dark brown in colour!
